What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
Interacting with the teachers and being in a setting that forced me to use Japanese in a more creative manner. I was able to pull out all of the Japanese I learned prior to KCP and actually apply it, rather that being in reading kanji or speaking opportunities.
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
Games, textbooks, and drill practices. I really loved having conversation guests who were fluent in Japanese.
What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?
Hearing about Japanese culture from a Japanese native who specialized in a specific study. That was exciting and very cool to apply to my experiences while in Japan.
What did you find least valuable in the Culture Course?
All of it was great!

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?
I loooooooooooooooooved the location. It was in proximity to lots of really great and convenient things. The size was a bit of an adjustment, but that doesn't outweigh the location.
Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?
Hard work will take you far at KCP. Even when you feel like you're doing terribly, hard work and patience with self is one of the most valuable things you can give to yourself and your Japanese study.
